Renee impacted so many lives by her acts of kindness & giving to others. It is important to continue her charity work either through donation, volunteer or fundraising as this was her gift to the community that needs to be continued by all.
The random acts of kindness that Renee did daily doesn’t have an official website, charity name etc. She paid for Veterans meals, paid for someone’s coffee in drive thru, volunteer at the each of the kids schools and would pick the least likely to get volunteers, she would give drinks or meals to homeless, push grocery carts in from the parking lot, open doors for elderly, drop by unexpected treats for no reason, picked up trash laying around, console crying children and was on many prayer chains. All these are just a few examples of who she was and the legacy she left for all of us to continue.
The family of Renee Suggs, 49 years old, took one last walk with her as doctors, nurses and staff at Willis-Knighton Medical Center lined the hallways in her honor. Renee’s family said she was always caring for everyone around her and this gift allows her to take care of others even in her passing. Her son eloquently speaking on the lives his mother impacted.
An Honor Walk is given to those saving lives through the act of organ donation and allows others to show support to the family for such a gift. Organ donation is a heroic and wonderful gift.

In Renee's travels, she found that clean water was not a source for all like it was here in the United States. So she funded a subscription to help supply water and encouraged others to follow her lead.
785 million people in the world live without clean water.
That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Or, twice the population of the United States. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.
But access to clean water means education, income and health - especially for women and kids.
Being a member at Lakewood United Methodist Church , it was Renee's passion to help in anyway she could with donations or volunteer at the church.

Donations may be dropped off at the outside table by the church office. Thank you for your continued support.

Renee continuing her legacy of giving to others, signed up to be a donor years ago and one that would save many lives.
One donor can save up to eight lives through organ donation and can save and enhance more than 100 lives through the lifesaving and healing gift of donors. Every day, lives are saved and improved by the gift of life, sight and health. Men, women, and children are waiting for a life-saving organ.
Renee was nominated to do the Icebucket challenge from her niece which she challenged many others. $220 Million dollars was raised worldwide from this fundraiser.

ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE
Renee and Kristi's yearly tradition, celebrating the arts with mimosa's in hand.
What began as a local church bazaar raising thousands of dollars for Houston Ballet, its Academy and scholarship programs, developed into a giant pop-up shop raising millions of dollars for the Ballet while hosting hundreds of merchants and thousands of shoppers from all across the country. We couldn't be more proud to have contributed over $74.2 million to Houston Ballet to help bring arts education, scholarships, performances and classes to hundreds of thousands of Houston-area students.
This Market is a magical kingdom of holiday treasures, and has become an annual tradition unlike any other. We hope you will join us this year!
Always through Renee's love of shopping and helping others did she find specialty stores, markets, fundraisers etc that benefited others. Being a teacher she had such passion for organizations like the Brookwood Community that encouraged, created and educated adults with disabilities.

A God-centered educational, residential, and entrepreneurial community for adults with disabilities.
Through the Grace of God, The Brookwood Community provides an educational environment that creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging, and demands dignity and respect for adults with disabilities.
Renee every year at Christmas, would buy some farm animal donation in someone else's name and then give that person the certificate and a little stuffed chicken, pig or whatever animal she had donated to that person.
Ending poverty from the ground up. We work locally, alongside the communities we serve, providing livestock and training in sustainable agriculture and business practices to create the most opportunity for the individuals and communities with whom we partner. Giving an animal is like giving someone a small business, providing wool, milk, eggs and more. Animal donations can provide families a hand up, increasing access to medicine, school, food and a sustainable livelihood.
Your animal donation will support the lives of families in need.
Your gift will have an impact empowering women across the world. The one you choose is up to you.
With having both girls go through Tomball Memorial High School, Renee was actively involved in many areas of the SPO. Being a teacher herself, she knew how vital it was to offer any assistance needed in helping make the school better for the kids, teachers and staff .
